These terms apply when you use the ExpenGoals website, app and related services ("ExpenGoals" or the "service"). ExpenGoals is operated by a private individual. For questions about these terms, contact [email protected].
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.
ExpenGoals helps two people organize personal and shared budgets, expenses, bills and goals. It is a planning and record-keeping tool only: it does not hold, transfer or manage money, connect to bank accounts, verify transactions, or provide financial, tax or legal advice. You and your partner remain responsible for your own financial decisions and for checking that records are accurate.
At present, ExpenGoals does not offer paid features or in-app purchases. If that changes, applicable prices and purchase terms will be shown before you make a purchase.
Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.
Your personal entries are private to you. Entries you add to the shared meeting point, your name and related comments are visible to your linked partner. Only link with someone you intend to share that information with. You are responsible for the content you enter and for having the right to provide it.
Use the service lawfully and do not misuse it. In particular, do not attempt to access another person's account or data, disrupt or interfere with the service, bypass security controls, or use the service to upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content.
We work to keep ExpenGoals available and secure, but the service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control. Features may change or be discontinued. We will make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes where practical.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users, address misuse, or comply with law. You can stop using ExpenGoals and delete your account in the app settings. Account deletion removes your personal data and affects shared items as described in our Privacy Policy.
ExpenGoals and its design, software and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms allow you to use the service for your personal, non-commercial purposes; they do not transfer ownership of the service to you. You retain responsibility for the content you enter.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability, guarantees or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. To the extent permitted by law, ExpenGoals is provided without a guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Do not rely on it as the sole copy of important financial records; you can export supported data from the app.
We may update these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. The updated date will appear above. If a change materially affects your use, we will provide notice where reasonably practical. Continued use after an update means you use the service under the updated terms, subject to any rights that applicable law gives you.
